Ohio adopted some new tax incentive rules recently which helped retain American Greetings in Northeast Ohio. At the time, the legislature and Governor said there would be more benefits than just AG. Well, we now know the next one is Diebold, a long time corporate resident of Akron-Canton.
Diebold, which is known for its safes, is planning on spending $100 million on a new corporate campus. The Plain Dealer is reporting about $56 million of that will come as tax incentives. This is actually the third major corporate campus that will be built in Northeast Ohio including AG and the new Eaton Corp. campus on the east side of Cleveland.
